We exist because
most reviews are lies.
Gear Verdicts is an independent tech review publication built on one principle: every verdict must be honest, researched, and earned — never sponsored.
You have been here before.
You need a new gadget — maybe a smart thermostat, a pair of wireless earbuds, or a robot vacuum. So you do what everyone does: you search Google for "best" lists.
And you find ten articles that all say the same thing. The same products in the same order with the same glowing reviews. No original photos. No mention of the things that actually matter — like whether that thermostat works with your apartment's old HVAC system, or whether those earbuds actually sound good on Zoom calls.
Most "review" sites are content farms. They rewrite spec sheets, copy each other's rankings, and call it a verdict. They have never touched the products they recommend.
One too many bad purchases.
GearVerdicts started after one too many bad purchases based on fake reviews. Every bad purchase came from a review that looked professional but was written by someone who clearly never used the product. That had to change.
Honest verdicts from people who actually use the products.
GearVerdicts exists to deliver what most tech review sites do not: real research, real opinions, and real accountability.
Built by someone who got tired of being lied to.
GearVerdicts was founded by Aizaz Shahid, a digital publishing professional with 8+ years of experience building online publications that prioritize accuracy and reader trust.
With a deep understanding of what makes online content trustworthy — and what makes it fail — Aizaz built GearVerdicts on a simple principle: the best review is one where the reviewer has nothing to gain from lying.
Today, GearVerdicts is run by a small editorial team of researchers and testers under Aizaz's editorial oversight. Every article published on this site is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by Aizaz before it goes live.
"If I wouldn't trust a review enough to spend my own money based on it, I won't publish it on GearVerdicts."
— Aizaz Shahid, FounderSmall team. Real results. Zero compromise.
Real people behind every verdict.
